Multiple sources report that there is a 'viable chance' that the Panthers could trade running back DeAngelo Williams by Thursday's trade deadline. After Williams has lost his starting duties to Jonathan Stewart, it may make sense that Carolina could now try to get some players or picks in return for a guy that seems unlikely to return in 2013 as it is.
DeAngelo Williams trade rumors: ‘Viable chance’ that Panthers move running back, fantasy value in limbo
Carolina could be looking to deal their former starting running back, despite the cap hit. We break down the fantasy implications.

All of Williams’ guaranteed money was paid in the first two years and trading him would save $17 million in future salaries. No word on possible trade partners, but it seems that for Williams any opportunity would be better than the one he has in Carolina.
Fantasy Take: For the Panthers, Williams becomes a non-factor unless something happens to Stewart. Carolina's run game is stagnant and the backfield is crowded. Should he go to the Packers, there's a chance he could have some real value, but it still seems like a longshot to happen.
If it does, Stewart gains even more value.
