Pittsburgh Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall (Achilles) was limited in practice on Wednesday, while Isaac Redman practiced in full and Jonathan Dwyer got an expected day off. Mendenhall has missed the last three weeks with the injury and has played in just two games on the year. In his absence, Dwyer has started to take off in Pittsburgh.
Rashard Mendenhall injury update: Fantasy value limited after limited Wednesday practice
Even if he is healthy by Sunday, will Mendenhall get the start? We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Take: New York is 28th in the NFL in yards per carry allowed, so Dwyer looks like a solid RB2 play against the Giants, however Redman will likely play and Mendenhall is a possibility. Given that situation, the balls could end up being shared unless Dwyer gets off to a very hot start.
That’s possible, but it’s also a risk. Take notice of the active report on Sunday morning.
