Dwight Freeney has been declared active for Sunday's game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Green Bay Packers, according to Phillip Wilson of the Indianapolis Star. Freeney played just nine snaps before injuring his ankle in the season opener. He will play for the first since then against what has been a shaky Packers offensive line this season.
Dwight Freeney declared active by Colts: Fantasy implications
Dwight Freeney is active for Sunday’s game between the Colts and the Packers. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Freeney's injury has been described as a high ankle sprain, which has a tendency to linger and render players slow until they can fully rest. As such, it remains to be seen whether Freeney will see a full complement of snaps, much less be effective. Still, if you're need of last-second IDP help, Freeney's pedigree may make him a worthwhile gamble. His return gives the Colts a boost as a team defense option, but in standard leagues they should still be left on waivers going up against Aaron Rodgers.
