A hand injury has kept Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones on the injury report for most of the last couple of weeks, but he's active and ready to start against the Redskins today as expected. Coaches admitted that perhaps the sore hand contributed to Jones slow week 4 against the Panthers (1 catch, 30 yards) but say that he's much healthier and ready to go this week. Jones has just ten catches for 111 yards in the last three games.
Julio Jones declared active by Falcons: Fantasy implications
Julio Jones is active for the Falcons in week 5. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Take: At a certain point you have to be concerned about a sophomore slump as Jones goes from being ranked in the pre-season as a top five wide receiver in fantasy to a complete slowdown since a big week 1. Personally, I still preferred Roddy White going into the year because he has such a longer track record of success but that doesn't mean that Jones can't be highly productive. I'd just rank White as a WR1 and Jones as a WR2 until further notice.
