Rashard Mendenhall played for the first time in 2012 on Sunday, and he did not disappoint. He carried the ball 14 times for 81 yards and a touchdown, adding two receptions for another 20 yards.
Rashard Mendenhall puts in impressive fantasy debut
Rashard Mendenhall didn’t look like he was playing in his first game of 2012. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Mendenhall's score came on a pass from Ben Roethlisberger, but it was technically ruled a lateral. It doesn't matter how he gets in the end zone, though. The Steelers gave Isaac Redman 13 carries, which he managed to tally up just 41 yards on. Mendenhall will resume his No. 1 running back duties now that he's healthy, and you should obviously pick him up if he's somehow still available in your league. It's amazing to see how strong he's running after tearing his ACL late last season.
