The signing of Robert Meachem in the offseason finally paid dividends for the Chargers. Meachem caught three passes for 67 yards and two touchdowns, far exceeding his prior numbers in 2012.
Robert Meachem finally puts in big fantasy performance
The Chargers finally received some return on their top free agent wide receiver this year. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Meachem hadn't found the end zone through the first four weeks, so two scores in Week 5 will certainly boost his stock. It might have been due to the fact that Meachem was playing back in his former home stadium. Either he was ready to quiet the crowd or perhaps he was just used to the environment. Meachem continues to struggle with his chemistry with quarterback Philip Rivers, so one good game from this duo doesn't make this a quality buy quite yet. Malcom Floyd is still the Chargers' undisputed No. 1 receiver.
