Houston Texans RB Ben Tate (toe) is officially inactive for Monday Night Football against the New York Jets, reports Rich Cimini of ESPN New York. Tate missed practice on Thursday and Friday as the team hoped that resting his injured toe would help him play Monday, but it's not happening. Justin Forsett will take his place as the primary backup to Arian Foster.
