Titans Vs. Dolphins: Fantasy Football Projections featuring Chris Johnson, Jake Locker, Brian Hartline

We breakdown the fantasy projections for the Week 10 matchup between the Tennessee Titans and Miami Dolphins

Andy Lyons

It looks like quarterback Jake Locker will be ready to go as the Tennessee Titans take on the Miami Dolphins this Sunday afternoon. Locker has missed the Titans last five games after suffering a shoulder injury against the Houston Texans in Week 4. Locker's return is badly needed as the team has underachieved with only three wins in nine games this season and veteran fill-in Matt Hasselbeck not exactly playing like a fantasy stud these days. On the flipside, Ryan Tannehill has the Dolphins surprisingly in second place in the weak AFC East and managed to throw for 290 yards against the Indianapolis Colts last week, the second highest total of his young career. Tannehill also practiced in full this week, so there is no reason to think he won't be able to put up a solid fantasy line against a porous Titans pass defense this week.

As far as the running game goes in this one, it looks like Reggie Bush will be nowhere near in contention for this year's rushing title the way many predicted coming into the season. The seven-year veteran out of USC has not had more than 60 yards rushing in a game since Week 4 and has only eclipsed 100 total yards twice this season. Stack those numbers on top of Daniel Thomas getting his share of touches and Bush a commodity in decline. Speaking of players in decline, the Titans' Chris Johnson has worked his way out of fantasy exile after being one of those guys the last two years. C.J. managed 141 yards against the Chicago Bears last week and he has at least 18 total touches in each of the last four games. His solid play lately has allowed Johnson to move all the way up to sixth in the NFL in rushing yards this season.

The wide receiver position is where each of these teams are lacking fantasy wise, but Miami's Brian Hartline is probably the best bet to put up decent numbers in back to back games after coming off his third 100 yard receiving game of the season last week against the Colts (8 receptions for 107 yards). The downside about Hartline's role as the Dolphins' default number one option is that he's only managed one touchdown this year. Things haven't necessarily panned out any better for the Titans in that regard as both Kenny Britt and Kendall Wright have also only scored once this season. There's no doubt that Britt is the most talented receiver on the team, but Nate Washington has actually proved to be the most consistent threat on the team through the air with four scores this year. That said, the mediocre play of Hasselbeck has a lot to do with these subpar stat lines and Locker could be just what the Titans' passing attack needs this week.
