NFL Network's Albert Breer is reporting that New England Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez (ankle) is expected to miss Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts. It will be his third straight missed game.
Aaron Hernandez expected to miss Sunday’s game: Fantasy implications
Aaron Hernandez is expected to sit out another game as he continues to nurse a sprained ankle. We break down the fantasy implications.
Hernandez has barely played at all this season since suffering a high ankle sprain in Week 2. He came back for Weeks 6 and 7, but was a surprise scratch for the London game and hasn’t played since.
Fantasy Impact: Another week, another last-minute scramble for fantasy owners who assumed that he would be good to go. It’s quickly becoming a lost season for the Top Five TE.
I wouldn’t recommend dropping Hernandez yet--he’s talented enough to be a difference maker in the fantasy playoffs--but it’s been an incredibly frustrating ride. We’ll see if next week is the week he comes back.
