Notes:
Fantasy Football 2012, Week 11: Tight End Rankings
Who can smell the playoffs? Are you fighting for your league’s last playoff spot? Are you striving to achieve that first round playoff bye? Regardless of your situation, every point counts at this point in the season. Tune in to my weekly TE rankings and read your way to victory.

- If for some reason Greg Olsen found his way onto the waiver wire, please point, click, and add immediately. The bottom line is that he is the only real pass catching weapon for a team with a woeful defense. It may be true that Olsen earns the majority of his fantasy points in garbage time, but points are points. While not likely to put up stud performances, Olsen can be relied on mostly because of the sheer number of targets that he will receive. He makes for a nice play this week against a Tampa defense which has not been great against the TE
- Really worried about Heath Miller's value. I think that entire offense will really struggle over the next 2-3 weeks, without Big Ben manning the offense. Without Ben, this team will run, run, run and try to win with defense. Miller has been a pleasant surprise this year, and has firmly entrenched himself as a top 10 guy, but the time is now to sell on him. Because after the 3 catches for 21 yard performance that he is likely to get this week, it is going to be tough to sell him.
- I am not really sure what to think about Vernon Davis. He is an elite level talent who has really struggled for a significant stretch. But over the course of a season, I really think talent ends up winning out. It is clear that defenses have been keying in on him, and making the niners use other options. But the bottom line is that San Fran has run the ball very very well. Somebody is going to try to stop the run, and Davis will have some big games with the play action pass. This week will be tough for him against a stout Chicago Bears defense, but now is a great time to buy low for the stretch playoff run.
- Brandon Myers makes for a great plug in and play this week against the Saints. I dont have to remind anybody how poor the Saints defense is, and the Raiders have shown a complete inability to run the football. This will most likely be an air show, and if you happen to be weak at the TE position, you could do a lot worse then Myers.
- Jermichael Finley is absolutely unplayable and unrosterable at this point. Dont fall in love with the name and the offense. You are much better off using a lesser name like Joel Dreessen, Logan Paulson, or Dwayne Allen
- Dont sleep on Aaron Hernandez. He has been hurt all year, but if he can get healthy down the stretch he can be a top 10 option. If he is sitting on somebodies bench, see if you can pry him off for a small price. You will be thankful when he gets you 15 points in the fantasy playoffs
