Cardinals Vs. Falcons: Fantasy Football Projections featuring Matt Ryan, Tony Gonzalez, Larry Fitzgerald

After suffering their first loss of the season at the hands of the New Orleans Saints in Week 10, the Atlanta Falcons look to rebound against the struggling Arizona Cardinals this Sunday at the Georgia Dome.

Quarterback Matt Ryan is coming off a career-high 411 passing yards in a game that came down to the final play, with the Saints managing to stymie the Flacons, who came up two yards shy of a game tying touchdown. By comparison, the Cardinals' John Sketlon has not been able to lead his team to a win since regaining his role as the teams' starter when teammate Kevin Kolb suffered a multi-week rib injury against the Buffalo Bills back in Week 6. Just based on the quarterback position alone, this game is shaping up to be a blowout. That could be a blessing in disguise for Skelton owners, as playing from behind this Sunday means he has an opportunity for his second 300 yard game in a row.

There is no doubt that this matchup will be of the airshow variety. Roddy White has managed seven catches and at least 100 yards receiving in back to back contests for the Falcons while his teammate Tony Gonzalez managed 11 catches for 122 yards, a top notch fantasy performance that included the 100^th touchdown of his illustrious career. If there is a hiccup in the Falcons' receiving corps. this week, it will come in the form of Julio Jones, who will be a game-time decision at this week with a lower leg injury. Without a doubt, the Cardinals will need to count on big time contributions from pro bowler Larry Fitzgerald and their other top pass catcher Andre Roberts. Both receivers should be heavily targeted in the second half, once the Cards' find themselves down by a few scores.

If there is one flaw in the fantasy armor of both squads it's the running game. Two years ago, Michael Turner was widely considered to be among the best backs in fantasy-land but it appears Jacquizz Rodgers (29 yards on just three carries in Week 10) may be in line to steal some carries from him this week as Turner managed just 15 yards on 13 carries in Week 10 and is dealing with an apparent groin injury going into this week. As for Arizona, there is no doubt that LaRod Stephens-Howling will be the go-to-guy in the backfield this week, but you can't expect anything out of this world from him given the Cardinals will have to throw the ball down the field more than they would probably like to this week. When you consider the Beanie Wells will be eligible to return to game action in Week 12, this week is probably the last time you'll be using Stephens-Howling in your lineup regardless of how he performs against the Falcons
