San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick had a successful first start on Monday Night Football against the Chicago Bears.
Colin Kapernick has a solid fantasy outing in first career start
Colin Kaepernick had a tall task in first career NFL start, facing the Bears defense. But the second-year quarterback came through.

Kaepernick went 16-of-23 passing for 243 yards and two touchdowns. The touchdowns went to Vernon Davis and Michael Crabtree.
Fantasy Impact: Kaepernick has now had consecutive successful games in place of the injured Alex Smith. His rushing ability, in combination with his passing skills, makes him a valuable fantasy commodity as long he is the starter.
The 49ers’ passing offense still has fantasy value despite the quarterback change. Smith will likely regain the starting job, but it’s good to know Kaepernick can keep things afloat for the team in the event of an injury to the starter.
