Running back Jonathan Stewart's status for Week 13 remains in doubt because of a high ankle sprain, coach Ron Rivera said on Wednesday. Stewart injured his left ankle on the final play of the first half of Monday night's win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Jonathan Stewart’s ankle injury puts fantasy value for Week 13 on hold
The Carolina Panthers are hoping running back Jonathan Stewart (ankle) will be available for Week 13. We break down the fantasy implications.

Rivera said he hoped Stewart, who missed two games earlier this season with a sprained right ankle, would be available for Week 13 against the Kansas City Chiefs. DeAngelo Williams would start if Stewart cant' play.
Fantasy Impact: Stewart was named the starter about halfway through the season but hasn’t done a lot to help fantasy owners. Quarterback Cam Newton was the team’s leading rusher against the Eagles and Stewart hasn’t had more than 51 rushing yards in a game this season.
If Stewart can’t play, Williams would be a No. 3 running back or flex play in some deeper leagues. Fantasy owners will have to monitor this as the week goes along.
