Green Bay Packers running back Cedric Benson (foot) will remain on the injured reserve list and not return this season. We break down the fantasy implications.

Benson has been dealing with a Lisfranc foot sprain and met again with a doctor on Wednesday. Before Thursday's announcement, there were reports that the injury would keep Benson out for the rest of the season. He had been placed on the injured reserve list and designated for return. James Starks and Alex Green will continue at running back for Green Bay.
Fantasy Impact: Benson has not been a factor for much of the season and it’s doubtful fantasy owners were banking on his return at this point.
Starks remains the better back for fantasy owners, although he is little more than a No. 3 or flex play in most weeks.
