After receiving 23 targets in Week 8, Cowboys tight end Jason Witten was targeted just 2x times by quarterback Tony Romo on Sunday Night Football. Witten currently leads all tight ends in targets, catching 58 of his 81 targets for 538 yards, which is good after his slow start, but he has just one touchdown. Witten owners should feel confident starting him on a weekly basis, but he has competition in the red zone with Dez Bryant and Miles Austin on each side of him.

Hitting the Bullseye
Jermaine Gresham, CIN
Gresham had his best game of the 2012 season in Week 9, catching six of his eight targets for 108 yards and no touchdowns. He has caught at least five passes in every game this season, and now has caught 34 of his 51 targets for 433 yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Andy Dalton has established wide receiver
Brandon Myers. OAK
I have been writing about Myers for a few weeks now, so I hope those of you in leagues that start a tight end haven’t been sleeping on him. Myers had his best game of the season in Week 9, catching eight of his 13 targets for 59 yards and two touchdowns. Myers has caught 39 of his 50 targets for 442 yards and two scores. He led all Week 9 receivers with his 13 targets.
Missing the Target
Jared Cook, TEN
After saying earlier in the week that they wanted to get Cook more involved in the offense, the Titans did the exact opposite. Cook was targeted just five times, catching two balls for six yards. Cook received plenty of preseason love from the fantasy experts, but has not been used as much as many expected. He has caught 28 of his 41 targets for 373 yards and two scores thus far in 2012.
Heath Miller, PIT
Miller entered Week 9 leading all fantasy tight ends in touchdowns with six, and he left New York with just six touchdowns, as he was targeted just five times by quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, catching four passes for 48 yards and no scores.
Tony Gonzalez, ATL
Gonzalez started the season scoring a touchdown in four of his first five games, but he has been held scoreless in each of his last three games. On Sunday, he was held to four receptions on five targets, for just 36 yards and no scores. He has been held under 50 yards receiving in his last three games, but he gets the porous New Orleans defense in Week 10.
