Ben Tate was held out of practice Thursday by the Houston Texans, according to Nick Scurfield of the Texans' official site. He was able to work with training staff, however, which is a step in the right direction for the running back. Tate has sat since suffering a hamstring injury in Week 8 against the Baltimore Ravens.
Ben Tate sits out practice Thursday: Fantasy value still shelved
Ben Tate was held out of practice Thursday for the Texans, according to reports. We break down the fantasy implications.

Tate's status for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears is still unclear at the moment. If he can't play, Arian Foster is expected to handle almost the entire rushing workload out of the Texans' backfield. Justin Forsett is the team's top backup with Tate out.
Fantasy Impact: Tate’s status is not looking good at the moment, but he wouldn’t be much of a fantasy option if healthy, anyway. He has had a harder time carving out a fantasy relevant role than he did last season playing behind Foster. Against a Chicago Bears defense allowing just 88 yards rushing per game, there is a good chance he wouldn’t have done much for owners this week.
