Tom Brady is lighting up the boxscore for the New England Patriots in the early going of Monday night's game against the Houston Texans. He has three passing touchdowns already, and 159 yards on 12-for-15 passing midway through the second quarter.
Tom Brady on fantasy tear, with 3 early TDs against the Texans on MNF
Tom Brady has three touchdown passes, two to tight end Aaron Hernandez, midway through the second quarter against the Texans on Monday Night Football. We break down the fantasy implications.
Two of those touchdown passes have gone to Aaron Hernandez, who was able to get wide open twice running out of the backfield. Brady has now thrown at least three touchdowns in three of his last four games.
Fantasy Impact: Coming off a one-touchdown, one-interception game against the Miami Dolphins, and going up against a tough Texans defense this week, Brady's hot start is somewhat surprising. Then again, Brady has had monster fantasy performances before, so no one should be too shocked. He has a tough matchup against the San Francisco 49ers next week, but unless you have Drew Brees or Aaron Rodgers as your backup, Brady should stay in your lineup.
