New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (forearm) is officially inactive for Sunday Night Football against the San Francisco 49ers. Gronk hasn't played since breaking his forearm back in Week 11.
Rob Gronkowski inactive for SNF, as expected: Fantasy implications
Gronk won’t be playing this week despite his return to practice. We break down the fantasy implications.

Gronk made a surprise return to practice on Friday, suggesting that he’s closer to returning than previously thought, but it’s not happening this week.
Fantasy Impact: The popular theory is that Gronk won’t come back until Week 17, which would just be a “tune up” for the playoffs. That’s obviously not much help to fantasy owners during their fake playoffs.
There’s an outside chance Gronk may play next week, but I wouldn’t count on it. Re-draft owners should look elsewhere for TE production during the fantasy championships.
