Hitting the Bullseye
Calvin Johnson, DET
Johnson was targeted 17 times by quarterback Matthew Stafford, catching 10 balls for 121 yards and no touchdowns. For the season, Johnson now has 106 receptions for 1,667 yards, but only five touchdowns. The Detroit Lions will need to address their offense to create more scoring opportunities for next season.
Danny Amendola, STL
Amendola was targeted 12 times by quarterback Sam Bradford, catching six balls for 58 yards and a touchdown in the St. Louis Rams' 36-22 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Amendola has now caught 57 passes for 634 yards and three touchdowns this season. The Rams offense is not one of the more prolific offenses in the NFL, so Amendola should be a late-round draft choice in 2013.
Andre Johnson, HOU
Ever since I traded Johnson for running back help, he has gone off. Johnson was targeted 13 times by quarterback Matt Schaub, and caught 11 passes for 151 yards and a score in the Houston Texans' 29-17 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Johnson went over 100 yards receiving for the fourth time in his last seven games, and now has 93 receptions for 1,360 yards and four touchdowns on the year.
Vincent Jackson, TB
Jackson was targeted 12 times by quarterback Josh Freeman in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 41-0 loss at the hands of the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Jackson caught six balls for 81 yards and no touchdowns. He now has 62 receptions for 1,226 yards and eight touchdowns on the season.
Stevie Johnson, BUF
Johnson was targeted 12 times by quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick in the Buffalo Bills' 50-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. Johnson caught eight passes for 115 yards and a touchdown. For the season, he now has six games with double-digit targets, and has caught 69 passes for 891 yards and six touchdowns.
Eric Decker, DEN
Decker and teammate Demaryius Thomas form one of the better wide receiver duos in the NFL. He was targeted 11 times by Peyton Manning on Sunday, catching eight passes for 133 yards and a touchdown. For the season, he now has four games with double-digit targets, and has caught 72 passes for 923 yards and nine touchdowns.
Missing the Target
Marques Colston, NO
Colston was targeted just three times by Drew Brees in the Saints' 41-0 win over the Buccaneers. Colston caught all three passes from Brees for 60 yards and no touchdowns. Colston now has 68 receptions for 949 yards and eight touchdowns on the year. He has caught eight or more touchdowns in five of his seven NFL seasons.
Reggie Wayne, IND
Wayne was targeted eight times by rookie quarterback Andrew Luck on Sunday, but caught just three passes for 14 yards and no touchdowns. Wayne's output was his worst of the season. He has received double digit-targets in ten of his 14 games this season. He came into his Week 15 game fourth in the NFL with 94 receptions for 1,220 yards and four touchdowns.
Larry Fitzgerald, ARI
Fitzgerald has been a regular on the PPR Target Report of late. He was targeted just five times in the Arizona Cardinals' 38-10 win over the Lions on Sunday. Fitzgerald caught four of his five targets for just 22 yards. He is in the midst of the worst season of his NFL career.
