The New England Patriots found themselves down 31-3 in the second half of Sunday Night's game against the San Francisco 49ers, but you can never keep Tom Brady down for long. Brady worked his magic like he always does, leading a masterful comeback. Unfortunately it was not enough, as the Patriots lost 41-34. Brady's favorite target in the comeback was tight end Aaron Hernandez, who was targeted a season high 19 times.

Hitting the Bullseye
Tony Gonzalez, ATL
Gonzalez caught six of his seven targets from quarterback Matt Ryan for 49 yards and a touchdown. The future Hall of Famer has now been targeted 113 times on the year, catching 87 of Ryan’s passes for 880 yards and eight touchdowns.
Dennis Pitta, BAL
Pitta had his best game of the season in the Baltimore Ravens' 34-17 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday. He was targeted ten times by quarterback Joe Flacco, catching seven balls for 125 yards and two touchdowns. It is quite rare for tight ends to score on long pass plays, but Pitta's two touchdowns went for 31 and 61 yards. He now has 57 receptions for 613 yards and seven touchdowns on the season, and has scored in four of his last six games.
Aaron Hernandez, NE
Hernandez caught 10 of his 19 targets for 92 yards and a touchdown in Sunday night’s 41-34 loss to the 49ers. He has received double-digit targets in each of his last three games (13, 11 and 19), and now has 45 receptions for 426 yards and five touchdowns in the eight games he has played this season. For me, he is a top 2-3 tight end entering 2013 drafts.
Missing the Target
Brandon Myers, OAK
Myers has been one of the top targeted tight ends over the last month or so, but has seen just six targets from quarterback Carson Palmer over the last two weeks. On Sunday, Myers was targeted just four times, catching two passes for 15 yards and no touchdowns. He now has 72 receptions for 743 yards and four touchdowns this season.
