Adam Caplan reports that the Miami Dolphins have signed K Nate Kaeding. In a corresponding move, they placed Dan Carpenter on injured reserve with a groin injury. Kaeding was released by the Chargers earlier this season dealing with his own groin injury, but he seems to be healthy now.

Fantasy Impact: Kaeding was one of the most accurate kickers in NFL history, but injuries have derailed his career--he’s only played 17 games in the last three seasons, and there’s no telling how much the groin injury has sapped his leg strength.
If you were one of the few Carpenter owners and looking for a replacement, you can probably find safer options than Kaeding.
