Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was held out late in Sunday's win over the Houston Texans but will play in Week 17 against the Green Bay Packers. Peterson, who had missed practice time during the week, was held out because of an abdomen injury. However, coach Leslie Frazier told Sports Illustrated's Peter King (via Pro Football Talk) that Peterson will play next Sunday.

Peterson has rushed for 1,898 yards this season and needs 208 more to set the single-season rushing record. He had 86 in Sunday’s win over the Texans.
Fantasy Impact: Peterson didn’t deliver his biggest game of the season in Week 16 but there are some fantasy owners who will be counting on him on Sunday.
Peterson had 210 rushing yards earlier this season against the Packers and the Vikings made need a similar effort in Week 17 to reach the playoffs.
