The Jacksonville Jaguars have placed WR Cecil Shorts III (concussion) on injured reserve, ending his season. Shorts suffered another concussion on Sunday against the Patriots. It was his second concussion in less than a month, so there was no chance of him suiting up for the season finale.
Cecil Shorts placed on IR, ending fantasy season
The Jaguars have shut down Cecil Shorts after he got his second concussion of the season. We break down the fantasy implications.

Shorts finishes his season with 55 catches for 979 yards and seven TDs.
Fantasy Impact: The good news is that Shorts now has an entire offseason to recover from his head injuries. He was one of the few bright spots in a dismal Jaguars season.
If the new front office addresses the QB situation (no, Tebow doesn’t count), Shorts could be a quality fantasy sleeper in 2013.
