Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson made the NFL record books by breaking Jerry Rice's record for most receiving yards in a season. Johnson caught 11 passes for 225 yards and no touchdowns on Saturday night. He is the No. 1 wide receiver heading into the 2013 season, and hopefully he can get into the end zone a few more times than he did in 2012.
Fantasy Football PPR Target Report, Week 16: Wide Receivers
Lions WR Calvin Johnson was the biggest story of Week 16, as he broke Jerry RIce’s record for most receiving yards in a season, and has now set his sights on 2,000 yards receiving, and that appears very attainable.

One wide receiver who will easily be a top 5 wide receiver in 2013 is Cowboys WR Dez Bryant. He scored two touchdowns on Sunday, and scored 10 touchdowns in his last seven games of the season. After a slow start to the season, Bryant became an absolute monster, scoring in each of his last seven games.

Hitting the Bullseye
Calvin Johnson, DET
Johnson was targeted 16 times on Monday Night Football on Saturday night, catching 11 passes for 225 yards and no touchdowns. He now has 117 receptions for 1,892 yards and five touchdowns this season, and has his sights set on being the first wide receiver with 2,00 yards receiving in one season. He needs just 108 yards to reach 2,000, and with Detroit not playing for a wild card berth, he will be targeted quite a bit next week vs the Bears. His 225 yards receiving was his 11th game with 100 or more yards receiving this season.
Roddy White, ATL
White caught eight of his ten targets from quarterback Matt Ryan for 153 yards and two touchdowns on Saturday night. He heads into Week 17 with 87 receptions for 1.309 yards and seven touchdowns on the season. White will be a top 10 wide receiver heading into 2013 fantasy drafts.
Dez Bryant, DAL
Bryant caught nine of his 12 targets for 224 yards and two long touchdowns in Sunday's loss to the Saints. Bryant now has 88 receptions for 1,311 yards and 12 touchdowns on the season, and is a slam dunk to be one of the top five wide receivers drafted in 2013 fantasy drafts.
Marques Colston, NO
Colston doesn't get the press that guys like Bryant and Johnson receive, but he had a solid season in 2012. Colston caught 10 of his 13 targets from quarterback Drew Brees on Sunday for 153 yards and no touchdowns. Through Week 16, he has 78 receptions for 1,102 yards and eight touchdowns. With Brees throwing for over 4,500 yards receiving for the third year in a row, Colston should be a top 12 wide receiver heading into 2013.
Jeremy Maclin, PHI
Maclin was targeted 14 times by quarterback Nick Foles on Sunday, catching eight balls for 116 yards and a touchdown. He has established himself as Foles favorite target, something fantasy owners should remember on draft day in 2013.
A.J. Green, CIN
Green was targeted a season high 18 times from quarterback Andy Dalton on Sunday, catching 10 passes for 116 yards and no touchdowns. He now has 95 receptions for 1,324 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, and as I have said a few times here in this report, he should be a top 5 wide receiver heading into 2013 drafts.
Demaryius Thomas, DEN
Thomas was targeted 14 times by future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning on Sunday, catching nine balls for 102 yards and a touchdown in the Broncos 34-12 win over the Browns. Thomas how has 87 receptions for 1.312 yards and nine touchdowns on the season, and has the potential to be a top 5 receiver in 2013. It just goes to show that Peyton Manning can make a good receiver a great receiver.
Missing the Target
Victor Cruz, NYG
Cruz was targeted just five times by quarterback Eli Manning in Sunday's loss to the Ravens, catching three passes for just 21 yards and no touchdowns. The NFL leader in receiving yards in 2011, Cruz heads into Week 17 with 82 receptions for 1,040 yards and nine touchdowns. After two straight games of 100+ receiving yards in Weeks 13 and 14, he has just six receptions for 36 yards over his last two games, both blowout losses for the Giants.
Mike Wallace, PIT
Wallace was targeted just five times vs the Bengals on Sunday, catching just one ball for 13 yards. He has been a bit of a disappointment this season, as he has just two 100+ yards receiving games on the season. Through 16 games, he has caught 64 passes for 836 yards and 8 touchdowns. Coming into the season, I thought he was a slam dunk for 1,000 yards, but the short passing game in Pittsburgh has limited his value to fantasy owners this season.
