He will be fine and ready to go in Week 17. On Sunday, the Carolina Panthers will take on the New Orleans Saints.
Fantasy Analysis: Cam Newton and Steve Smith are 1-0 versus the Saints in 2012. They will have the opportunity to close out the season against them and since they are fighting for pride, a season sweep against the Saints would end their season on a high note.
Smith will be active on Sunday, so start him if you got him.
