For those owners who made it to their fantasy championship with Tony Romo as their starting quarterback, we salute you. Romo had his best fantasy outing of the season and didn't commit any glaring mistakes to cost you. He passed for 416 yards and four touchdowns. Of course, it wasn't a total surprise since he was facing the Saints defense, which has given up quite a few monster passing games to opposing quarterbacks. He faces the Redskins and had a super game against them in their first meeting this season. Look for Romo to surpass 300 yards passing and throw two or three touchdowns.
Fantasy Football Rankings, Week 17: Quarterbacks
For those diehard fantasy owners and those who don’t want the season to end, here are our Week 17 Quarterback rankings.

Matt Ryan had his best game since the opening week of the season. It was really starting to look like he was going to enter the playoffs cooled off from the way he was playing earlier in the season. The Lions defense was the answer and they allowed Ryan to pass for 279 yards and four touchdowns. The Falcons have the number one seed and home field advantage locked up in the NFC, so Ryan's playing time will probably be curtailed this week in the Falcons finale. Luke McCown would get the call in that case. McCown would have a great matchup facing the Buccaneers poor pass defense.
Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees came through with strong games for fantasy owners. Rodgers crushed the Titans and finished with his second best performance of the season. The outcome of the game was never in doubt and Rodgers was replaced early in the fourth quarter. He finished with 342 passing yards, three passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown. Brees had his way with the Cowboys pass defense, passing for 446 yards and three touchdowns. His play during the fantasy playoffs has been stellar and certainly made up for some lesser outings down the stretch.
For the final week of the regular season, here are our top five fantasy quarterback must-starts:
1. Drew Brees vs. Carolina - Brees is finishing the season strong and definitely needs to be in your lineup. He didn’t have the greatest game against Carolina in their first meeting this season but no doubt Brees will want to end the season on a high note. I could see this game turning into a shootout.
2. Cam Newton at New Orleans - The Saints have been giving up tons of points to fantasy quarterbacks all season long and that streak will not end with Newton. He has looked like the Superman of the 2011 season and should be able to go out with one last big game.
3. Aaron Rodgers at Minnesota - Rodgers faced the Vikings only four weeks ago and had a solid but not great outing. He's coming off of back to back three passing touchdown games and will look to lead Green Bay to a first round bye. The Vikings are looking to grab the final playoff spot, so Rodgers will probably have to throw a few touchdowns to secure the victory.
4. Peyton Manning vs. Kansas City - Manning will look to put this one to bed early against the lowly Chiefs. In their first matchup of the season, he passed for 285 yards and two touchdowns. I think that he'll finish with at least that many yards and touchdown, if not more.
My predictions for sleeper quarterbacks for Week 17:
Michael Vick, Eagles - It would have been difficult to imagine a few weeks ago that Vick would be getting another start this season but here we are. After having six weeks of rest and recovery, we should see a fully charged Vick against the Giants. Vick won't have all the Eagles offensive weapons at his disposal but should be able to make some magic in the season finale.
Jay Cutler, Bears - The Bears desperately need to win this game and Matt Forte is banged up. Cutler will need to carry the team against the Lions poor secondary and should be able to burn them for some easy points.
