Fantasy Football 2012, Week 17: Tight End Rankings
We break down tight end rankings for Week 17 of the NFL schedule.

- Rob Gronkowski is really difficult to rank this week. The Patriots are notorious about being tight-lipped about injuries. There is really no way to know whether or not he is going to play. If Gronk plays in any kind of significant role, obviously he is a top 1-2 TE. With that being said, I don't think the safe play is to rely on him this week. Assuming you have another top 15 option then go with the safe choice and bench Gronk this week. In the case of my rankings, Gronk's low ranking is obviously due to his highly questionable game status.
- This is the week for Owen Daniels. He has been relatively quiet in the last few weeks, and the Texans offense has struggled. The Texans are extremely focused on getting the #1 seed, and are playing against a Colts defense that has been inconsistent. While the running game is always the focus for the Texans, the play action passing game will be on full display and I fully expect Daniels to get at least 50 yards and a touchdown.
- Jermaine Gresham has been so rock solid for a majority of the season. He had a quiet week last week, but is going up against a overrated Ravens defense and should see plenty of opportunities. In a must win situation for the Bengals, expect Gresham to see at least 4-5 catches for over 60 yards.
- For a deep sleeper player look to Marcedes Lewis. He has been very quiet over the last 3 weeks but is facing the Titans defense which has been woeful against the Tight End. With WR Cecil Shorts out with an injury, QB Chad Henne will be looking for other reliable options in the offense. In a game with nothing on the line, expect both teams to throw quite a bit. While the yardage totals for Lewis might be on the low side, expect him to receive about 4 catches and to reach the end zone.
