New Orleans Saints running back Pierre Thomas (knee) missed practice on Thursday, his second straight day without practicing. Thomas was listed on the injury report last week with the same issue but touched the ball 14 times against the DallaS Cowboys for 77 total yards and a touchdown. New Orleans may just be playing it safe with their veteran back as they head into Week 17 against the Carolina Panthers.
Pierre Thomas injury: Missed practice harms fantasy value
If Thomas is out, it should increase the workload for others. We break down the fantasy implications.

Thomas has 105 carries for 473 yards and 39 catches for 354 yards this season, with two touchdowns.
Fantasy Take: Thomas is just not much of a fantasy play this year, as New Orleans just shares the ball too much in it's backfield. Mark Ingram is the runner, Darren Sproles is the receiver, but Thomas plays a bit of both roles. If healthy, he is a difficult flex play but viable.
