Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson (abdomen) was held out of practice on Thursday, though he is in no danger of missing Sunday's season finale against the Green Bay Packers. The Vikings need to beat the Packers to ensure themselves a Wild Card berth into the playoffs and will rest their star player for the day.
Adrian Peterson held out of practice Thursday, but fantasy value is still very high
Peterson’s run to 2000 should not be put in jeopardy by a missed practice. We break down the fantasy implications.

In addition to that, Peterson is 102 yards shy of 2,000 for the season. A feat thought unfathomable after a torn ACL in 2011. He still has an outside shot at Eric Dickerson’s single-season record.
Fantasy Take: Peterson torched the Packers for over 200 yards earlier this season. He should be considered the top play once again in Week 17.
