Mike Nugent placed on injured reserve, ending fantasy season
Mike Nugent will miss the rest of the 2012 season, including the playoffs, after being placed on injured reserve Friday due to a calf injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Josh Brown, signed Dec. 6, has been playing in Nugent's stead. In his last three games, Brown has made 9-of-10 field goal attempts, including a 43-yarder in the closing seconds of last week's win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Fantasy Impact: Brown has been playing well of late, as the Bengals enter the playoffs on an upswing. His only miss came from 56 yards out, falling short of the cross bar during last week’s win. Suffice it to say, he is solid fantasy starter if you’re looking for a kicker this week. Brown should continue to be a good option if your league somehow extends into the NFL playoffs.
