Vernon Davis may be limited, or even sit when the San Francisco 49ers take on the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. Davis, as of Friday, had yet to be cleared for contact after suffering a concussion in Week 16 against the Seattle Seahawks. Davis was limited to non-contact drills in practice Thursday.
Vernon Davis injury update: Fantasy status hazy due to concussion
Vernon Davis is dealing with a concussion suffered in Week 16 against the Seahawks, and may be held out of the 49ers’ regular season finale against the Cardinals. We break down the fantasy implications.

Davis has struggled of late. He has had no more than two catches in each of his last five games, and no more than 27 yards receiving. He has yet to score a touchdown since Week 11 against the Chicago Bears.
Fantasy Impact: Over that same five-game span, Davis has been targeted no more than three times in any outing, mostly on deep passes. Delanie Walker is effectively the Niners' top tight end, with six receptions for 88 yards and two touchdowns over his last two games.
Davis’ athleticism is undeniable, but for whatever reason he isn’t the large part of the 49ers’ offense that he once was. Fantasy owners should find another starting option, if they haven’t already.
