The Ravens had already cemented their spot as the No. 4-seed in the AFC heading into Week 17, giving them little incentive to give their starters a full load of snaps. Pierce, a rookie, notched a career-high in carries.
Fantasy Impact: Pierce averaged a solid 4.9 yards per carry in his rookie season while playing backup behind Rice. He has plenty of fantasy potential should anything happen to Rice, making him a necessary late-round handcuff next season for fantasy owners. As long as Rice is healthy, however, don’t expect Pierce to see many touches.
