The Packers have listed Alex Green as the starter going forward with James Starks expected to miss several weeks with a knee injury. Starks returned in Week 6 against the Texans and had inconsistent production over the course of six games, totaling 15 carries and 66 yards with a touchdown on Sunday against the Vikings.
Alex Green expected to start for Packers in wake of James Starks injury: Fantasy implications
Familiar face Ryan Grant will be the backup to Green in the interim. We break down the fantasy implications.

Green was getting a starters workload in the middle of the season, carrying the ball 20+ times in three straight games, but never reaching three yards-per-carry in any of those games. In total, Green has 360 yards rushing and zero touchdowns with 122 yards receiving. The recently-resigned former Packer Ryan Grant will be the backup.
Fantasy Take: The Packers are not a good running team, and no back has much value in that system. If you are desperate, Green is the player to own, but he rates as a RB3. Grant has done nothing and hasn’t been given much of a shot in 2012, so he’s very far off the fantasy radar.
