Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden (ankle) is active on Thursday night football against the Denver Broncos, as expected. McFadden has missed four games with a high ankle sprain, same as backup Mike Goodson who also suffered a high ankle sprain and is also active on Thursday.
Darren McFadden active on Thursday: Fantasy implications
The Raiders running back officially returns from a high ankle sprain that cost him four games. We break down the fantasy implications.

Marcel Reece, who has filled in for McFadden and Goodson in the interim and was dealing with a hamstring injury, is also active. So, the Raiders have a full backfield, because Taiwan Jones (ankle) is also active.
Fantasy Take: I would not expect McFadden to have a significant fantasy performance tonight, nor do I expect any of the Raiders many running backs to have big games. There seem to be a lot of hands in the cookie jar right now, the teams are coming off of a short week, McFadden is coming off of injury, and the Broncos are much better than the Raiders.
It’s a risk to start McFadden, who I would consider to be a low-end flex play this week. Perhaps something more by next.
