Week 14 and the playoffs are here and it’s time again to rank the kickers. I am a believer that past performance is a good indicator of future success with kickers. So, here is the list of the top ten kickers YTD, as ranked by fantasy points per game:
Fantasy Football 2012: Week 14 Kicker Rankings
Which kicker will kick you into the Second Round of the playoffs? Find out here!

Kicker (TEAM) | Fantasy Points per Game |
Lawrence Tynes (NYG) | 10.6/game |
Stephen Gostkowski (NE) | 10.2/game |
Matt Bryant (ATL) | 9.9/game |
Jason Hanson (DET) | 8.8/game |
Shayne Graham (HOU) | 8.6/game |
Justin Tucker (BAL) | 8.6/game |
Connor Barth (TB) | 8.6/game |
Shaun Suisham (PIT) | 8.0/game |
Blair Walsh (MIN) | 8.0/game |
Dan Bailey (DAL) | 8.0/game |
You’ll notice that “everyone’s” #1 kicker in the preseason (David Akers) isn’t even in the Top 10 (he’s No. 12 this week). So, once again, please people, stop drafting kickers before your last pick.
Fantasy Points Against is a measure of the average number of fantasy points allowed by an opposing team, year-to-date. Although, I think this stat is most important for running backs and quarterbacks, the ranking of the kicker data may show us which defenses are most susceptible to kicker scoring. Those “bend but don’t break” squads that give up a lot of FG’s. These five teams are allowing the most fantasy points to kickers:
(1) JAC Jags (10.0)
(2) CAR Panthers (10.0)
(3) OAK Raiders (9.8)
(4) TEN Titans (9.3)
(5) BAL Ravens (9.0)
The bye weeks are finished, so please drop any and all benched kickers.
Here are our Sweet Sixteen rankings:
Rank | Player (TEAM) |
1 | Stephen Gostkowski (NE) |
2 | Lawrence Tynes (NYG) |
