Mike Wallace injury update: Fantasy prospects boosted by return of Ben Roethlisberger
Mike Wallace is expected to play for the Steelers on Sunday against the Chargers despite being listed on team’s injury report with a knee injury. We break down the fantasy implications.
Wallace has been quiet lately. He has not had more than 44 yards receiving, or scored a touchdown in his last three games, all of which have featured someone other than Ben Roethlisberger at quarterback. Fortunately for him, Roethlisberger is expected to return from a serious ribs injury this week.
Fantasy Impact: Wallace has lost playing time due to the emergence of Emmanuel Sanders and the return of Antonio Brown, so he isn't a highly-recommended fantasy option at the moment. That said, he could very well be a solid WR3 or Flex option now that Big Ben is back for the Steelers. Wallace is always high risk/high reward fantasy option, but this week especially.
