According to the Titan Insider, Tennessee K Rob Bironas wants a contract extension before the season starts. The 34-year-old kicker is in the final year of his 4-year, $12 million deal, and while he won't holdout, he will not negotiate a new deal during the regular season. "We have four or five weeks before the season starts, so hopefully something gets done. If not, I'm going into the season looking at it as my final year, or they will have to compete with the free agent market."
K Rob Bironas Looking For New Contract
Rob Bironas is a free agent at the end of the year, and wants an extension before the season starts. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: Before you scoff at the idea of a kicker playing hardball with his front office, Bironas is one of the league’s elite, had his best season in 2011 (29 of 32 FGs, 6-7 from 50+ yards), and is only 34, a mere child in kicker years. He’s one of the few kickers that fantasy players may want to consider drafting before the final round.
