The Kansas City Chiefs have their starting QB set in Matt Cassel, but his backup is still undecided at this point, as neither did much to stand out in Friday's preseason opener. Brady Quinn, currently listed 2nd on the depth chart, went 7 of 13 for 81 yards and a pick, while 2nd-year pro Ricky Stanzi was only 2 for 7 with 42 yards.
Chiefs’ Backup QB Situation Still Unclear: Fantasy Implications
The Chiefs’s backup QB situation isn’t shaping up to be promising. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: The 2011 Bears and Colts are a cautionary tale for what happens when you don't have a reliable Plan B at quarterback, so the Chiefs should be rightfully worried about their backup QB situation. Last year, they were reduced to starting Tyler Palko on Monday Night, which led to Ron Jaworski infamously trying to hype himself up for a QB nobody knew or cared about. KC would obviously like to avoid that this season, but if Quinn or Stanzi don't do anything to stand out, it could get ugly if Cassel goes down again.
