Houston Texans WR Andre Johnson will be sitting out Saturday's preseason opener with a "groin injury", according to Nick Scurfield. Keshawn Martin is expected to get the start in his place.
Andre Johnson Inactive For Saturday’s Opener: Fantasy Implications
Andre Johnson will be sitting out the Texan’s preseason opener tonight. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: Nothing here indicates that this move is anything but precautionary. Johnson missed 9 games in 2011 with a hamstring injury, and spent most of the offseason fighting a nagging groin. Fantasy owners need not worry here; even if healthy, Johnson would probably have played one or two series at most, and he's expected to play next Saturday against the 49ers. That said, it would be foolish to completely ignore his injury history. Johnson turned 31 this year, and has a lot of mileage on his body. When healthy, he's still one of the best fantasy receivers alive, but potential owners may want to keep some good WR depth behind him.
