(UPDATE: No concussion for Asomugha, although he does have a sore neck and cut lip. He’s not expected to play next Monday’s game.)
Nnamdi Asomugha Carted Off Field After Collision: Fantasy Implications (UPDATE)
CB Nnamdi Asomugha left Philly’s practice field with an apparent concussion. We break down the fantasy implications.

Scary moment in Eagles training camp today, as CB Nnamdi Asomugha and S Nate Allen collided during 7-on-7 drills. Asomugha reportedly lay on the ground for several minutes, before leaving the field on a cart. Joselio Hanson took his place at CB, while Allen continued to practice.
Analysis: Asomugha had a somewhat disappointing year in 2011 after being asked to play more zone defense, taking him away from the press-man coverage he is so good at, but defensive coordinator Juan Castillo has indicated he will open up more man defense and play to Asomugha’s strengths better, so fantasy IDP players should pay special attention to this injury. We’ll keep you posted with the latest updates.
