Carson Palmer and the rest of the Oakland Raiders' passing offense struggled to get things going in the team's Monday night preseason opener against the Cowboys. Palmer played three series with his starting receivers. Of those three possessions, two ended in punts and the other ended in a Palmer interception. The interception was blatantly tossed into double coverage. Jacoby Ford's two drops didn't help matters.
Raiders vs. Cowboys: Carson Palmer, Raiders Passing Offense Struggle: Fantasy Implications
Carson Palmer and the rest of the Oakland Raiders passing offense struggled to get things going in the team’s Monday night preseason opener against the Cowboys. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: The Raiders' passing offense boasts a few useful fantasy pieces, so the performance on Monday night was disappointing. Palmer didn't get a lot of help, but he still played poorly. Denarius Moore has struggled with a hamstring injury throughout the preseason, so things figure to improve when he's back at full strength. Still, this wasn't the start Oakland was hoping for. Palmer is no more than a solid backup with upside at this point.
