Rams QB Sam Bradford says offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer has been pushing him to release the ball quicker. Bradford says Schottenheimer wants him to help his pass protectors and eliminate unnecessary hits. Bradford played in just 10 games last season and was well off of his 2010 form, when he threw for more than 3,700 yards. Bradford and the Rams play Saturday against Kansas City in the preseason.
Sam Bradford Focused on Quicker Release: Fantasy Implications
Rams QB Sam Bradford says he is being pushed to release the ball faster. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: Bradford is not yet a reliable fantasy starter, and that’s in part because of injuries and the St. Louis offensive line. The team’s best offensive player remains Steven Jackson and under Schottenheimer and new head coach Jeff Fisher, Bradford will likely become more of game-manager style quarterback and quicker releases could mean shorter, safer passes. He’s probably somewhere in between his 2010 and 2011 numbers, and might be worth a late-round pick with some potential.
