The Jacksonville Jaguars appear to be making a conscious effort to get Marcedes Lewis more involved in the offense coming off a disappointing 2011 season for the tight end, Pro Football Talk reports. Lewis caught just 39 passes for 460 yards and no touchdowns. New offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski said he expects Lewis' red zone numbers to improve.
Marcedes Lewis Ready For Expanded Role In Jaguars Offense: Fantasy Implications
The Jacksonville Jaguars appear to making a conscious decision to get Marcedes Lewis more involved with the offense, according to reports. We break down the fantasy implications.

"When you're not there enough, nobody is going to get a lot of touches,'' Bratkowski said. "And I saw he had a couple of drops. That will happen occasionally. You hope it doesn't happen very often.
"But last year was last year and this is this year. We do plan on keeping him really involved in that area of the field.''
Analysis: Lewis dealt with a lot of distraction last season, not the least of which was a custody battle for his daughter. With the background noise a little quieter and the passing game a little more stable, the hope is that Lewis can return to his 2010 numbers when he caught 58 passes for 700 yards an 10 touchdowns. There is no guarantee he will hit those numbers, but at 28 years old he is still plenty capable from a physical standpoint.
