Michael Crabtree Looking More Explosive, Focused in 4th Season: Fantasy Implications
Teammates say 49ers WR Michael Crabtree looks faster and focused heading into his 4th NFL season. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: Crabtree is a probably a fringe No. 2 or No. 3 receiver mostly because of the offense he plays in. The 49ers are run-first so he won't get the same number of chances that other receivers will. The fact that he is in better shape and focused will only help him improve as a WR and there is a chance Alex Smith will get to make a few more plays in the passing game. What remains to be seen is if those chances will go to Crabtree as San Francisco still has TE Vernon Davis and added Mario Manningham and Randy Moss at receiver. That being said, Crabtree should be a solid start most weeks in deeper leagues.
