Washington Redskins RB Tim Hightower is not going to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Chicago Bears. Tarik El-Bashir of Comcast Sportsnet reports that Hightower will not play even though he did more in practice on Thursday than he has done since hurting his knee last season. Coach Mike Shanahan said earlier in the week that running back Roy Helu will also miss the Bears game. He is hoping to have both Helu and Hightower on the field on Aug. 25 against the Colts. Evan Royster is expected to receive significant playing time against Chicago.
Redskins RBs Hightower, Helu Won’t Play v. Bears: Fantasy Implications
Redskins RBs Tim Hightower and Roy Helu won’t play Saturday against Chicago. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: It’s doubtful that anyone is surprised that there is no clear running back in Mike Shanahan’s offense. Helu and Royster were both solid for Washington at times last season and are probably the only backs fantasy owners will want to look at right now. If healthy, Helu probably has a little better upside but both should be considered No. 4 RB options for the moment.
