The Detroit Lions have put cornerback Drew Coleman on injured reserve with a concussion, meaning that they are even thinner are one of their weakest positions. They lost their best cornerback from last season, Eric Wright, to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in free agency and Coleman was expected to fight for a starting spot after being signed away from the Jacksonville Jaguars. Coleman, a sixth round pick of the Jets in 2006, has played mostly at nickel in his career and has four career interceptions and ten career forced fumbles.
Lions Place CB Drew Coleman on IR: Fantasy Implications
Drew Coleman has been put on IR by the Detroit Lions. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Implications: The loss of Coleman shouldn't effect anybody in Individual Defensive Player leagues, but it does put more exposure on the Lions already weak secondary. Detroit was 22nd against the pass last season in both yards and touchdowns allowed, and they could be even worse after another loss in their defensive backfield. This is good news for Jay Cutler, Aaron Rodgers, Christian Ponder, and all of their wide receivers.
