With Trent Richardson rehabbing after a scope on his knee, the Browns gave his backups plenty of carries in their game against the Packers. Unfortunately, Montario Hardesty, Brandon Jackson and Adonis Smith all looked average at best when they took the field.
Trent Richardson’s Backups Mediocre Against Packers: Fantasy Implications
The Browns backup running backs didn’t look like anything special against Green Bay. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: Cleveland expects Richardson to be back for the season opener, but there’s no telling if he’ll hold up for all of 2012. The running backs behind him on the depth chart haven’t done much to separate themselves, making it difficult for fantasy owners to feel good about owning any of them.
Hardesty remains the favorite, even though he averaged an incredibly low 3.0 yards per carry in 2011. Against Green Bay he was handed the ball 12 times for 45 yards. He did find the end zone once, but lost a fumble, hurting his cause. Smith received the same number of carries and picked up just 38 yards. Jackson had a touchdown as well, but gained a mere 35 yards on 14 carries. No one really stands out at this point.
