Third-round rookie RB Bernard Pierce returned to Baltimore Ravens' camp this week after a nagging hamstring injury cost him the early part of camp and preseason opener. The Ravens want Pierce to earn the No. 2 spot behind Ray Rice after Anthony Allen got hurt and Bobby Rainey failed to impress. The coaching staff has been enamored of Pierce so far, reporting that his one-cut running style reminds them of Arian Foster.
Bernard Pierce On Track For Ravens’ No. 2 RB Spot: Fantasy Implications
Rookie RB Bernard Pierce is healthy and ready to take the No. 2 RB job in Baltimore. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: That’s pretty high praise for the rookie, but fortunately he’s not under much pressure to become the next Foster, not as long as Rice stays healthy. Pierce graduated from Temple, so the lack of camp reps will make the transition from the MAC to the NFL more challenging for him, but he should be ready to go for Friday’s game. He profiles as a valuable handcuff pick for Rice in the later rounds.
