New England Patriots RB Stevan Ridley left Thursday's practice with a knee injury, but according to the Boston Herald, it doesn't appear to be too serious. He watched the rest of practice from the sideline and walked back to the locker room under his own power. The Pats have not stated whether or not he'll miss more time.
Stevan Ridley’s Knee Injury Not Believed To Be Serious: Fantasy Implications
RB Stevan Ridley left practice Thursday, but his injury doesn’t seem too bad. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: Shane Vereen is closing in on Ridley in the fight for starting RB. Vereen has been impressing the coaching staff with his pass-catching ability and had a good ground audition in the preseason opener, gaining 64 yards on 11 carries. Even if Ridley's injury isn't too serious, he can ill afford to miss the precious camp reps. With Danny Woodhead still around as the change-of-pace back, look for Vereen and Ridley to split the carries in the backfield, and Vereen is an intriguing late-round sleeper.
