Ravens Inactives Vs. Lions: Torrey Smith, Dennis Pitta, Ed Dickson Out Friday
Wide receiver Torrey Smith, and tight ends Ed Dickson and Dennis Pitta are inactive for Friday’s preseason game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Detroit Lions.

Analysis: Smith is the biggest surprise of the bunch. He was limited in practice during the week due to an ankle injury, but was expected to suit up against Detroit. There hasn’t been any indication of a setback. More than likely the Ravens are simply being cautious. The tight ends are less surprising. Pitta could should miss the rest of preseason after suffering a broken hand. Dickson may also miss the rest of preseason, though X-rays on his sprained right shoulder came back negative. Whatever the case may be, both players are expected to be healthy by Week 1 of the regular season.
